Stress & Anxiety

Reflexology helps to reduce the stress we experience in modern living.  High levels of cortisol and adrenaline cause sleeplessness and sometimes palpitations. 

By stimulating the endocrine system, reflexology helps to rebalance our hormones; thereby reducing our cortisol levels and boosting our levels of melatonin, helping us to sleep more soundly.  Reflexology also activates the parasympathetic nervous system in particular,  the Vagus nerve.  When the parasympathetic nervous system is dominant our blood pressure and heart rate reduce.
